Write On Command
with Jae L. Pettigrew

In this workshop, we will explain the difference between the Inspiration and Demand writing techniques, build confidence in one’s creative ability, and offer writing exercises that can be used time and time again to invoke creativity. We will look at the difference between muse-inspired work vs. writing on command, i.e., for projects, requests, etc. Students will write a muse-inspired piece (this will open up the heart space), as well as a piece as another person (this will give another perspective). Finally, they write a piece as if asked to join another person on a project at that moment (this will increase credibility with self, so the artists know they do not need a crutch, i.e., people, alcohol, a mood, etc. to create art).
